Jonny Greenwood's iconic score to the Oscar-winning film 'There Will Be Blood' is to tour the UK in January and February this year.
 
Hugh Brunt and the London Contemporary Orchestra will bring the much-praised live film version to London, Birmingham, Brighton and Bristol from 30 January to 7 February.  It's a thrilling experience - the complete film with all the dialogue left in and the soundtrack played by a live orchestra. Not to be missed!
 
Jonny Greenwood will join the LCO to perform the ondes Martenot part in the London performance.  Elsewhere, that role will be taken up by acclaimed ondes soloist, Cynthia Millar.

The soundtrack comprises Greenwood's score as well as Arvo Pärt's Fratres (cello Oliver Coates) and the finale of the Brahms Violin Concerto (soloist Galya Bisengalieva).
 
'There Will Be Blood' Live was last heard in London as part of David Byrne's Meltdown in August 2015, when The Times commented:

'… the mournful soundtrack of Jonny Greenwood is almost a star in its own right… as essential to the film's sense of dread as the music of György Ligeti and Krzysztof Penderecki is to Stanley Kubrick's The Shining.'
