Howard Goodall is conducting his Eternal Light: A Requiem, for the first time ever this Saturday 9 November. The Romsey Choral Society will be performing a stunning programme at Romsey Abbey, which includes Morten Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna  and Sure on this Shining Night (from Nocturnes), as well as Goodall’s Eternal Light. Commissioned by London Musici, Eternal Light: A Requiem received its première at The Lowry in Salford on the 25th September 2008, since which, over 250 complete performances of the choral work have been performed worldwide. The concert on Saturday has raised high interest and is set to be a sell-out.
