Launched on 31 May, 'The Salisbury Anthem' is a virtual choir project by Faber composers Morgan Pochin and Salisbury Cathedral Choir.

Originally destined to be heard for the first time in Salisbury Cathedral on its Foundation Day (28 April), the premiere of The Salisbury Anthem has been brilliantly re-imagined as a virtual choir performance, led by the Cathedral Choir (all singing remotely) with Salisbury Cathedral Director of Music, David Halls, conducting (remotely). The complete video can be at the foot of the page.

The commission marks the 800th anniversary of the laying of the first stone of Salisbury Cathedral. Setting a poem written at the time that the Cathedral was originally built, James Morgan and Juliette Pochin's new song was premiered online by a choir of hundreds of voices.
