Evelyn Glennie
Dame Evelyn Glennie has a huge international reputation and following as a solo artist: the world’s first full-time classical percussion soloist. Her percussion-based scores for film and television show extraordinary flair for underscoring mood and drama. Credits include seven series of Lynda La Plante’s Trial and Retribution, the William Boyd-scripted and directed feature film The Trench, and a collaboration with Mark Knopfler on the score for the Spanish feature film Altamira, directed by Hugh Hudson and starring Rupert Everett and Antonio Banderas. Also notable are the soundtracks she created for a series of Mazda car commercials in the mid-‘90s,, which inspired a host of imitations. Evelyn has created many library tracks for Audio Network PLC which have been widely used in a diverse range of productions.
