This 4-minute work for brass septet is based upon the final chorus of Sculthorpe’s Child of Australia (1987) for speaker, soprano, mixed chorus and orchestra that was written for Australia’s Bicentenary Celebrations in 1988. The present version was made in 1995 especially for the Graham Ashton Brass Ensemble.
