The Second Piano Concerto, one of the composer's biggest masterpieces, comes here in a new URTEXT-edition. The aim is not only to give the musical text, but, as far as possible, to give advice for an authentical interpretation. Paul Badura-Skoda not only works as editor but performes as popular pianist worldwide. He studied with Edwin Fischer who himself had lessons with Eugen d'Albert. Therefore Badura-Skoda is one of the last artists in the oral Brahms tradition. The new editions comes with an informative Preface, the Critical Commentary gives details on all sources used.
