Violinists, play your way across Europe, with a lively Italian Tarantella and Saltarello, perky Polish Polka and wistful Viennese Waltz. Then it’s off to sunny Cuba where the Rumba has a great rhythmic twist, and America, where Ragtime is cool and sophisticated – but you can really party at a Hoedown! Dance Duets can be enjoyed by violinists of about grade 2–3 upwards. It is excellent concert material, and offers a wide range of techniques including (easy) fast finger work, extensive pizzicato, leggiero bowing, long legato lines, double stopping – and even the occasional chance to stamp! Both violin parts are of equal interest, so grab a friend and get duetting!
