Composer Tansy Davies describes her Forgotten Game 2 for oboe and piano as ‘a kind of meditation on nature, in a pagan or spiritual sense’. Over the course of the 6-minute work, the oboist plays the role of a faun guiding the growth of a tree from roots to canopy.
