This edition of Bach’s French Suites (BWV 812–817) is paired with his large-scale French Overture in B minor (BWV 831) from the second part of the Clavier-Übung. It brings together six small-format keyboard suites of moderate difficulty with the most extensive and substantial set of Bach’s suites. The score is presented clearly and coherently alongside a comprehensive editorial report of document sources, editorial additions and ornaments.
