The Walking Shadows, a choral work dealing with an important (but often forgotten) aspect of the First World War.  The debilitating and tragic consequences of mental breakdown on soldiers and their families.  In a format which offers a compelling narrative commented on by sometimes unsettling new settings of First World War songs, we follow the fate of Eddie - first reluctant hero, then a tragic victim. 

It is a story of four people in a landscape of war with a libretto by the Irish poet, Aoife Mannix.
